Azerbaijan Approve Building Energy Efficiency Rules
AZERBAIJAN’S Government has approved ‘Rules’ regarding the energy efficiency for construction projects and other energy saving measures to reduce the countries CO2 emissions and boost their economy.
The ‘Rules’ cover cultural buildings, historical monuments, residential buildings up to 3 storeys and constructions that do not require a building permit.
The Rules require an energy audit for implementation of energy efficiency projects. The total energy loss of buildings will be measured, with an energy efficiency class and certificate of energy performance being awarded.
We only reported last week that Azerbaijan's politicians were calling for action over improving energy efficiency - action now seems to be happening.
